The Crystal Method – Las Vegas, NV – For more than two decades, has remained at the forefront of the worldwide dance music industry as pioneers of the big beat genre, innovators of the 90’s electronica movement and current-day global ambassadors of the American electronic sound. Originally formed in Las Vegas in the early nineties by co-founders Scott Kirkland and Ken Jordan (now retired), The Crystal Method is one of the most successful American electronic acts. Pioneers of the big beat genre and innovators of the ‘90s electronica movement, The Crystal Method has remained at the forefront of the worldwide dance music industry for more than two decades. The Crystal Method celebrates a 25+-year career in the music scene, which has resulted in an extensive discography that includes: the platinum-selling Vegas (1997), the band’s debut studio album and one of the top selling albums worldwide by an American electronic artist ever; Tweekend (2001); Legion of Boom (2004) and Divided by Night (2009), both of which received GRAMMY nominations in the Best Electronic/Dance Album category; and The Crystal Method (2014). Simplicity has been an inevitable presence in the Midwestern house music scene for the last decade and then some. A highly skilled and focused DJ, her solid confident style provides a captivating foundation that’s sure to get bodies in motion and keep the room hot. Over the years, Simplicity has been spotted on lineups with notable names from a wide array of genres such as Mark Farina, Sydney Blu, Digable Planets, and Gettoblaster. Since her days of digging through crates of vinyl, she has prided herself a house music aficionado, but the influence of attending and playing shows in Detroit has left her with expanded horizons into techno and beyond. Simplicity holds a residency at Headcleaner (Columbus), a unique monthly party that showcases a diverse selection of producers and DJs from across the country. Working with the close-knit crew that throws Headcleaner is yet another influence into her ever-evolving sound. We are stoked to welcome Simplicity back to the Fort!
