BACKGROUND: The Series began December 9, 2022 when the Joshua Tree curated theme launched with support from city stalwarts Brian Kage and John Collins. The name “Crush” was chosen in collaboration with Kage and serves as the inspiration for the series.
The sophomore showcase featured an electro theme with young and veteran talent alike: Craig Gonzales, Sloth Boss, and Toledo resident Sierra Avalos (who filled in for Tree) on February 3rd, 2023.
Attempt three on May 12, 2023 leaned towards a classic house flavor. Erno initiated proceedings, followed by Joshua Tree, and closed by maestro DJ Psycho.
PRESENT: For the fourth installment we highlight an Original: Todd Osborn will take control of The Original Crush: 10PM Saturday, July 8 2023 for founder Joshua Tree’s Birthday Celebration.
