Born in Queens, NY and growing up in the heart of Grand Rapids, nestled in-between the birth places of house & techno, Chicago & Detroit, Ulysses has always had an ear for unique drum rhythms and underground grooves. His ear can be traced from inspirations like East Coast hip-hop to some of the video games he was playing on his PlayStation after school. Here is when his love for lush chords, sweepy pads, and intricate basslines blossomed.
In 2019, Ulysses started his alias after playing under the successful duo “Pressed & Proper” to refine his sound and add his signature to his sets.
Today, Ulysses has released music on labels like Tentacle Records, The Pool House, and All Blak Records, while being supported by artists like Eats Everything, Shiba San, DJ Caspa, Gettoblaster, Kid Enigma, Shaun Reeves, Myles Serge, Golf Clap, Jordan, Paul Quzz, Devv and many more.
