Hosted by Nika Green, Social Misfits is unveiling funky house beats curated by resident DJ’s Subtractive and DrivingMissHazy featuring special weekly guests every Wednesday night.
2.15 WE WELCOME THE DJ BOB MARINO TO OUR HOUSE
The DJ Bob Marino started djing in 2011 playing mostly hip hop and backing local acts in Minneapolis, MN. By 2015 he was playing clubs and opening for acts like Raekwon, Masta Ace, Lizzo (pre-fame), Coolio, Mystikal, and has played with Biz Markie and Dj Bonics (Wiz Khalifas touring DJ). He was a core member of the turntablist crew in Minneapolis, Slipmats Radio.
He’s toured the Midwest twice and held residencies in Minneapolis and NYC. In the last 4 years he’s been playing deep house, funk & soul vinyl, breaks and other genres in dance music. His influences over the years have changed giving him a unique, eclectic style with influence from all realms.
