In August of 2018 Liquid Dancehall arrived anonymously in Detroit. Since its inception Liquid Dancehall has sought to steer the attention away from the Dj as icon and focus on the phenomenological nature of sound. We are a collective of artists, Djs, engineers, and producers. We strive to create environments wherein the ephemeral slows; time is delayed, fedback, rewound, and engaged. We have built, broken, and built again. Self sufficiency has been our aim with our eyes and ears entirely on one sole purpose – to engage with speakers and their drivers, listeners and their ears. We are built with a purpose, not a name brand purchase. We are the sound system.
