fabric Resident and Paranoid London frontman Josh Caffé’s live PAs and varied DJ sets expertly embrace house, acid house, and techno, and are matched with impressive technical and keenly-judged crowd-reading skills. He heads up the Night Sheen label, and LQBTQ night Love Child, curated alongside fabric. With regular slots on NTS and Threads Radio, and past vocal performances at the likes of Panorama bar and Boiler Room, Josh has become known for bringing an underground edge wherever he goes.
Pangaea makes electronic dance music that draws its energy from the bleeding edges between sounds. Deliberately steering clear of the self-perpetuating feedback loops that often exist within established scenes, his tracks instead express the elusive and innovative qualities that characterize club genres in their infancy. He was involved in running Leeds’ first ever dubstep night, and in 2007 established the Hessle Audio label along with friends Ben UFO and Pearson Sound. The label’s ethos was simple, and mirrored Pangaea’s approach to his own productions: to draw together original and boundary-pushing music which wasn’t being represented elsewhere.
