Bio
Marc Alan
Behind the turntables for 25 years all over the world, marc alan promoted underground parties in the late eighties and early nineties before clubs thought they could do it better.. He spent his nights at Detroit’s Music Institute during the time when people only cared about the music. Gigged with Moby, Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, Ritchie Hawtin, Derrick May, Jeff Mills… bringing the roots of Detroit to parties across the States. He started with disco/new wave electronic in the 80’s, Techno in the 90’s, Jungle/Electro.. and even Hip Hop. However, marc alan always loved house music and played after hours house sets while touring the world with his techno shows.
Myles Sergé
The enigmatic Myles Sergé is a low flying techno producer, hard working label head and old school DJ, however he prefers the term ‘reclusive perfectionist’. Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Myles experienced a temporary sojourn to the beachside of the the UK’s Brighton before relocating to Berlin. In some respects the American’s music bypasses the melodic classicalism of Detroit for a stripped-back European take on techno, though the mettlesome machine- funk of his raw style, and rough and ready prowess behind the decks, is never too far from the outer-regions of the US’ motorcity he calls home.
As a regular guest at Tresor, with no stranger to bookings at Berlin’s Berghain, Griessmuehle and ://about blank, to his residency at Steevio’s Freerotation festival in Wales, Myles is a shining example of how one can traverse the European-American transatlantic divide. With a belt of labels under his control – (MS), Re-Form, Dosed and Space – Myles has since moved on to count the likes of NYC’s Thema, The Zenker Brother’s Ilian Tape and Dan Curtin’s Metamorphic imprints as home for his music. Never one to boast, Myles Sergé Clark’s revised approach to the warehouse techno of his recent mixes and DJ sets keeps the quality underground.
Joshua Tree
“Electronic criminal house gangster” and cofounder of FourFour SoundSystem, Joshua Tree cut his teeth throwing early DEMF afterparties with Metroplex label head Juan Atkins in Detroit lofts. A vinyl jock from the onset, he reasserted himself into, and as a result, transformed the west Michigan underground scene a decade later. Joshua returned to Detroit for the Charivari festival on Belle Isle and debuted his live pa performance at the Roger B Chaffee planetarium at the Grand Rapids Public Museum in 2016 and continues to bring a style and quality of electronic music unique to the area.
Captain Dave
Simply… Just that guy!!! This man has more vinyl and music gadgets than should be legal. Deep cuts, choice cuts, white labels and rare, he has them all. Maybe you were lucky enough to see him play at DEMF back in the day? You’re even luckier to experience him on the regular with ONE.
Motieprime
Boogie Booster. Hostess with the Mostest. Purveyor of Experiences, if you ask nicely.
Raver Mom
“If you see a problem or are having an issue with a person at our dancery, please tell me immediately.” It is the mission of CCDC to have lifted and hassle free events. Do not hesitate to speak to me. I will deal with the matter and deal with it proper.
Jacque has been running around in dark rooms with intense beats since the late 90’s. Co-creator of the well remembered and loved west side parties in 2000 and 2001 “Girls Night Out” as ‘Ladies of House’ with Beth Adado, these parties featured seminal womxn DJ’s from around the USA, including Lauren Flax, Jordana, DJ Heather and more her aged brain cant remember right now. Ladies of House also hosted a large weekly event at ‘Maze Craze’ that broke the sound of 2-step to Grand Rapids and opened the doors for many local DJ’s that are the favorites in West Michigan today. After taking a break from scene responsibilities for many years to just dance and enjoy, Myles came knocking on her DM’s in 2016 asking for assistance with stage lighting, design, general project mgmt and promo support for his THEMA USA night and eventual CCDC events.
