A 12 hour Samhain — Full immersion in the music and environment as we celebrate the energy of transformation with a 12 hour party on the holiday that best embodies that spirit, Samhain.
LUV NRG Soundsystem presented by T4T LUV NRG and operated by Faited.
Full venue transformation by Amber Gillen & the Infinite Dimensions Crew.
Full audiophile sound by Jim Gibbons AVS.
At the ever evolving Tangent Gallery.
This is our third Samhain at Tangent, and after last year’s incredible night, we’ve decided to extend it to 12 hours, going from 9PM until 9AM, allowing us to go even deeper. We’re bringing back the LUV NRG Soundsystem. Coming all the way from New Hampshire, T4T LUV NRG’s mobile sound rig, a monument of intention, conceived by Eris & Octa, and operated by Faited of Oakland’s Envelope Soundsystem. This ecstatic experience will be helmed by T4T family from Pittsburgh and Chicago — Kiernan Laveaux and Sold, with a special extended set from Eris Drew & Octo Octa. The Dark Room focuses IT’s transcendental energy into a night of transformation via Interdimensional travel with Wata Igarashi, IT residents BMG & Erika and No Way Back residents Mike Servito & Scott Zacharias closing. Dimensions collide as we celebrate not only Samhain but this special conjunction of artists and crews. We shall cleanse and renew, absorbing all the energy and space for the fleeting but deeply needed moments of freedom that we all deserve.
BMG on Samhain:
“It’s the Celtic holiday that Halloween spawns from. It was the loop point, the new year. Ancient people dealt with grey areas in strange ways, the change between years caused this loose period existing between the end and beginning. This is where it gets interesting: they believed dimensions were colliding in a sort of interdimensional crosstalk, where the planes of the living and the dead were touching, so the dead could walk the earth. A way to convene with your ancestors, and a great reason to burn fires and scare your friends and neighbors. There’s way more to it, most of it can’t be written, it can only be felt, which is usually elusive but somehow easy at this time of year.”
