There’s finally a spot to hang out on Wednesday evenings in Detroit! Introducing WIDE-EYED Wednesdays at the very special Tangent Gallery with your hosts Mama Bass Productions and support from Forefront Productions. We will have drink specials from 6pm to 8pm starting at $4 for our house liquors every week. Plan on coming prepared as each week will have an off-the-wall theme and different electronic music genres.
This week we are having the Home of Detroit based Electronic Music label Trashed Panda Music control the frequencies that rush pass us. Members include Some Black Cat, Werkout Plan, DJ Super Will, Jvice Muzik, Siktune, Vic One, and a couple honorary members, myself and Jerad Watson. All are married to the scene! Haha. Each person has a special connection and dedication to their music, their scene (our scene) and to each other. The amount of support these guys give each other are some family level vibes.
We are going to be celebrating the decade of the 80s with a multi-genre lineup, costumes and popular cocktails of that era. 9$ Long island ice tea, $5 Sex on the Beach, and a $5 Fuzzy Navel will be up for grabs for this event only.
We will be having a special guest open for us, his name is DJ Scottie Devious. Brand new to the Detroit underground scene but is definitely no stranger to mixing. Scottie has had residencies at the places like Tin Roof, Little Caesars Area, Grizzly’s, and more. He has been deejaying for about 25 years and originally started in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He played for Paris Hilton, P-Diddy, Tony Hawk and more. Check the discussions section of this event to see a list of some the clients he has had. He comes equipped with all the gadgets, gear, and lighting. Glad to have him on as he is super talented too. You won’t want to miss his set! Get there early to welcome someone new to our community.
